NEA Production Log #7 | First Draft Upload

 NEA video 1st draft

Today I exported and uploaded my very first draft of my music video to YouTube as an unlisted video. There is still a lot of work that needs to be done (footage is still missing, and I need to reshoot a few scenes), but I am now somewhat able to see the concept of the video begin to come together.

Today, Sam and I started shooting Act 1 of the music video, in which the main character faces boredom in her house alone before her friends invite her out to the park. I tried to capture Sam doing different activities while also appearing idle to convey the main character's feelings - she tries to do so much to fill the time and take her mind off her sadness, but it all feels empty

• w/c Mon 31 Aug 2026, i began constructing my website via wix
• my aim is for the site to have a doodle /scrapbook aesthetic, with the coour scheme and theme of the moodboard that i created

as of w/c Mon 14 Sep 2026, this is how the site looks now, I have mostly finished my header and have begun work on the home page.

Pre-Photoshoots

Today we did a photoshoot in class to improve our photography skills and possibly get some images for our websites. This helped me learn the importance of lighting and backgrounds. This also helped me to make use of my existing knowledge of camera angles and learn to use some new ones, such as the Dutch angle, which was very enjoyable to do. I learned how to instruct models and guide them through different poses, facial expressions, etc.

Today I carried out a photoshoot with my main talent, Sam, to collect some more photos for my website. We experimented with different levels of lighting, both inside and outside, and tried out many different poses, facial expressions and backgrounds to ensure we had enough material to choose from. We were able to include an intertextual reference in our photos by including her shirt, which had Biggie on it, to show artistic influence
